Make ice containers for your coolers: Fill with water, leaving about 2 inches from the top. Do not put on the lid until after it has frozen. It stands neatly, and doesn’t melt or leave a mess to clean up and dump out.

Which means ……… IT CONSERVES WATER!!!!

And you don’t throw away plastic bags.

We have a large supply of these containers if anyone wants to start doing this. We keep 4 to 6 in the freezer.

They are also good for dipping in barrels are excess house-water for your garden. We catch all water that runs when waiting for the ‘hot’ water. The cold water gets put in barrels. Some gets saved for drinking water. We use food grade buckets for this (I got mine from an organic farmer who is selling her excess for $2 each).

I also use wide-mouth food containers to store ice cubes. I have a steady supply of these containers from an elderly friend who uses me to recycle her items. They can be used for dry herbs or whatever you want. So if you want any, let me know and I’ll pass them on.

You have the tools you need to change the world …. just take that first step, then the next, then the next ….  <3
